Control Systems Engineer

Job description

 Control Systems Engineer 3 to 5 years germany 1 years contract
• Possess in-depth expertise in critical infrastructure, building operations, mechanical systems, BMS/EPMS programming, control schematics, industrial
HVAC, electrical systems, one-line diagrams, and advanced environmental and electrical principles.
• Lead and foster collaboration across diverse teams, including construction, operations, commissioning, software development, and sourcing, to ensure successful customer delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues, requiring advanced knowledge of electronic and digital control systems, as well as the ability to test and modify software across multiple programming languages.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for hardware installation, reviewing proposals and programming throughout the commissioning process.
• Demonstrate experience with data center redundancy strategies, mechanical failure protocols, energy and water efficiency practices, and data analytics reporting.
• Operate effectively in high-security, mission-critical environments while optimizing productivity.
• Innovate and develop new solutions to support team, initiative, and organizational objectives.
• Create and maintain global project specification documents.
• Design and support mechanical and electrical control products and systems.
• Utilize AWS cloud services and other applications to present, archive, and analyze collected data.
• Be prepared to travel 50% or more as needed to manage and support project deployments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science.
• Proficient in software programming languages, such as Python and/or Codesys.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in controls engineering, including programming development, system start-up, and commissioning of critical systems.
• At least 3 years of experience in designing or contributing to the design of Controls and Monitoring solution projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in project management and project engineering, with a demonstrated ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Familiarity with Linux systems.
• Hands-on experience in designing and integrating Industrial IoT solutions, showcasing innovative approaches to control systems and automation.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, coordinated initiatives, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to achieve successful results.
• Deep understanding of Data Center Facilities Infrastructure and Operations, including knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
